Robots are seen as the replacement for the human soldier, or the balancing factor between nation states between human beings. A robot does not feel fear, does not need to eat, drink water or sleep, it does not get sick from the elements and is resistant to changes in extreme temperature. We have currently developed humanoid robots and androids, some that function using AI. While still in the early stages, the coming decades will see robotics spike in growth tremendously, especially with it’s implications for the military field.
Will we have an army of humanoid androids that people will be incapable of distinguishing from real human beings, infiltrate society and wage warfare in that sense, or will we see swarms of AI controlled robots that resemble insects devour everything in their path? Or will we see both? What other types of robot concepts exist?
