Mobility has always been an important aspect of human warfare. The ability to move and cover large distances can mean getting to an objective quicker, as well as getting away from a superior force. The lack of readily available, cheap and therefore easily mass produced technology right now is probably the only thing holding the balance of power towards some nation states and not others. What does advances in mobility related technologies mean for the military and warfare, and will the impossible theoretical invasion of the United States of America due to it’s geographical position, size, population, technology among other factors and the reliance on the oceans as a fortress, by overseas hostile powers, be eventually not only possible but easily achievable?
